The i10 error code on a Frigidaire dishwasher indicates a low water fill or a complete lack of water entering the tub. When a wash cycle begins, the main control board sends 120V AC to the water inlet valve solenoid. As water fills the sump, the pressure sensor monitors the water level. If the pressure sensor does not detect the required water level within a predetermined time limit (usually 90 to 120 seconds), the control board aborts the cycle, activates the drain pump to prevent potential flooding, and displays the i10 fault. This code is a safeguard against running the wash pump dry, which can burn out the wash motor seals. Diagnosing this requires verifying incoming water pressure, checking the inlet valve for electrical continuity and mechanical blockages, and ensuring the pressure sensor and its associated air dome are clear of debris.
